Some match dates at last for the Qatar world cup finals.

A FIFA task force is recommending the 2022 event takes place in November and December when temperatues drop from summer peaks of over 50 celsius.

Jerome Valcke is FIFA'S Secretary General.

FIFA SECRETARY GENERAL JEROME VALCKE, SAYING:

"It's clear that there are pros and cons for all, but that there is one period which - I mean there will be not one solution which will be supported by all."

It will be mid-season for Europe's lucrative soccer leagues.

And that means a re-scheduling nightmare which ETX's Joe Rundle thinks sponsors and broadcasters may not like.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) ETX CAPITAL, HEAD TRADER, JOE RUNDLE, SAYING;

"I don't think a winter World Cup will happen, I think the European clubs are too powerful, they supply 75 percent of the players to the World Cup and therefore they will really dig their heels in over this. I think there will be a big legal action from the European League should it happen and sponsors won't want to be involved in something that it so controversial. The broadcasting rights will probably happen but the value will be diminished."

Qatar has already built much of the infrastructure it needs.

And it argues there's plenty of time to rearrange league games.

But the Chairman of the European Club Association says it may take more than a willingness to compromise.

CHAIRMAN OF THE EUROPEAN CLUB ASSOCIATION (ECA) KARL-HEINZ RUMMENIGGE SAYING:

"The European clubs and leagues cannot be expected to bear the costs for such a rescheduling. We expect the clubs to be compensated for the damage that a final decision would cause"

Qatar has deeps pockets and but the time factor could also be a negative.

ETX CAPITAL, HEAD TRADER, JOE RUNDLE, SAYING;

"I think this is probably a move by FIFA to begin to back out of awarding the World Cup to Qatar and come up with another plan. It is 7 years away so there is plenty of time to find another venue that will suit the clubs but it just seems to be FIFA in disarray."

Football's world governing body is set to rule on the matter on March 20th.
